Board of Trustees

Our Board of Trustees is composed of investment professionals, small business owners, community leaders, foundation directors and corporate CEOs who share one central goal: to fortify the well-being of the Albuquerque community.

The Board of Trustees governs the organization, establishes policy, collaborates with staff to set priorities and approves grant recommendations. All members are volunteers and invited to serve by the Foundation’s Trusteeship Committee. Trustees serve three-year terms.

Foundation trustees are extraordinarily committed to building a strong community and are an active partner in our work at the Foundation.

Emeritus Trustees

The Emeritus Board is composed of former Trustees who have demonstrated long and distinguished service to the Foundation. They have also contributed significant and ongoing financial support to the Foundation. Candidates must have completed at least one three-year term, been off the Board for at least two years, and demonstrated meaningful impact during their service while continuing to support the Foundation through philanthropy, advocacy or expertise.

In this honorary role, Emeritus Trustees serve as community ambassadors, may mentor Trustees or senior staff, and assist with donor engagement. Emeritus Trustee status is a lifetime designation approved by the Board of Trustees upon recommendation from the Governance Committee.
