Future Fund

In 1997, the Future Fund started when 24 people decided to get together and pool their money to start an endowment. Since then, the Future Fund has grown to over 200 memberships, their endowment has over $700,000, and the group has awarded over $360,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations selected by the Future Fund membership. This group of young leaders is committed to making our community a better place to live. Future Fund’s mission is to acquaint younger members of the community with responsive philanthropy, develop community awareness and nurture future leadership.
Future Fund’s funding model is to grant unfunded Letters of Intent to the ACF Annual Grant Cycle. This model ensures that we are able to make impactful grants to as many interested local nonprofit organizations as possible.
Future Fund Membership starts at $240 per year (that’s just $20 per month). Your money goes directly into the Future Fund Endowment Fund, then you and your fellow members decide where to grant over $20,000 in earnings annually. For more information about the Future Fund, contact us!

PRIDE Circle

P: Philanthropy R: Resource Sharing I: Inclusivity D: Deliberate Grantmaking E: Endowment in Perpetuity
Launched in June 2023, the Albuquerque PRIDE Circle serves the LGBTQIA+ community in the greater Albuquerque four-county area. Although Albuquerque has a deep history of queer activism, culture, and life, there are limited funding opportunities available for services directed to the LGBTQIA+ population. Nonprofits must allocate significant resources to the annual cycle of raising funds, asking for donations, and applying for grants.
The PRIDE Circle aims to combat that resource drain by establishing a funding source focused on Albuquerque organizations that specifically and intentionally provide services to the city's LGBTQIA+ community. The PRIDE Circle also focuses on providing an accessible and inclusive space for members and allies of the community to gather and connect.
Join today to help create a permanent resource stream for the LGBTQIA+ community, participate in our annual grant, and find community at our events. In order to become a member, please make a contribution in any amount and submit a short application.
The PRIDE Circle is managed in collaboration by the Albuquerque Community Foundation and the PRIDE Circle’s Advisory Board. If you are interested in joining the PRIDE Circle Advisory Board, nominations are made around April each calendar year.
