Clarissa Earl
Communications & Marketing Officer

Clarissa Earl is the Communications and Marketing Officer for the Albuquerque Community Foundation, where she brings stories of generosity and impact to life while coordinating the Foundation’s robust events calendar. She manages everything from print pieces to digital campaigns, keeping projects moving, messages clear, and branding on point.Â
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Clarissa spent nearly a decade in the Land of Enchantment before recently relocating to Texas for her husband’s job. These days, she works remotely and travels back to Albuquerque for major events—a balance that allows her to stay connected to the place and people she cares about.
With over a decade in the nonprofit and social sector, Clarissa combines her love of storytelling and project management with a strong commitment to community. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Utah State University.
When she’s not working, she’s deep in mom-mode, wrangling two energetic boys, snuggling her aging yellow lab, or attempting to have an uninterrupted conversation with her husband.
Meet Clarissa...
- Red or green? Christmas Â
- Mountain or River? Mountain
- Comedy Club or Dance Club? Comedy Club
- Hometown:Â Everett, WA
- High School Mascot:Â Seagull
- If you could have lunch with anyone alive or dead, who would it be? My mom. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago and I miss her every day. There are so many things I want to talk to her about. We’d eat grilled cheese and tomato soup.
- If you didn’t work for the Foundation, where would you work? I’d run my own bookstore or write for The Atlantic.
- Name three songs you would include on your soundtrack of life: Murder in the City by The Avett Brothers, The Long Way Around by The Chicks, Oh, What a World by Kacey Musgraves.
- What’s your favorite time of the year in New Mexico? Fall! I love the smell of chiles roasting and leaves crunching under my feet. Plus, the temperature is perfect.
- What is a skill you’d like to learn? I want to learn how to draw and bake pastries.
- If you could witness any event of the past, present or future, what would it be? Jackie Robinson's MLB Debut
