Isaac Beltran Larios is the Compliance Officer for the Albuquerque Community Foundation. He was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, and was raised in California. As a teenager, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and fell in love with the place that he now calls home.

Having earned a BS in Psychology and a BA in Spanish from the University of New Mexico, he began working at the City of Albuquerque managing contracts and federal grants for non-profits focused on homelessness. There is where Isaac found a passion for working for his community and doing what he can to make it a more equitable place. Isaac brings a background of compliance, risk management, and non-profit relationship building to this role.

Being from Latin America, Isaac brings not only pupusas, but also a deeper understanding of the values of the foundation and a passion for improving the community in Albuquerque and all of New Mexico. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his partner and their sassy Husky.

Meet Isaac...

  • Red or green? I was first asked this question when I moved to NM. I was so confused, thought the cashier was asking my favorite color. Xmas all the way.
  • Mountain or River? There's nothing like the Sandia mountains.
  • Comedy Club or Dance Club? Dance Club so I can learn to dance.
  • Hometown: San Salvador, El Salvador
  • High School Mascot: Jaguars
  • If you could have lunch with anyone alive or dead, who would it be? Sonia Sotomayor
  • If you didn’t work for the Foundation, where would you work? Somewhere helping make our community a more equitable place.
  • Name three songs you would include on your soundtrack of life: Catch Me - Yellow Claw, DTMF - Bad Bunny, Latinoamérica - Calle 13
  • What’s your favorite time of the year in New Mexico? Fall is unmatched
  • What is a skill you’d like to learn? Becoming a polyglot.
  • If you could witness any event of the past, present or future, what would it be? The most complete answer and view of our outer space.
