We believe that service dogs improve the health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.

The Service Dog Connection Fund was created to increase equitable access to service dogs, as these highly trained working dogs are expensive to acquire.

To be considered for a service dog through the Service Dog Connection Fund, specifically trained by Dog Training Elite New Mexico for your unique needs, please complete the online application. There is a fund advisory committee who will review applications and make a determination.

The Service Dog Connection Fund is a charitable initiative dedicated to providing financial assistance for service dog training to families who demonstrate a significant need.
 
The fund is securely managed through the Albuquerque Community Foundation (ACF), ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of every donation.

Why Your Donation Matters

  • All net proceeds go directly toward training qualified service dogs
  • Funds support families who fall below income thresholds and live in New Mexico
  • We often highlight a specific family during fundraising so you can see the real impact of your support
  • All contributions are tax-deductible through the Albuquerque Community Foundation (ACF)

Application Requirements

If interested in applying for a service dog, note all applicants must be a NM resident and demonstrate a disability that validates a need for a service dog. Please complete the online application form with the $20 application fee in support of the Service Dog Connection Fund. Approved applicants will have a fundraising requirement to demonstrate their commitment to the program.
