We are excited to share news regarding the future of the Great Grant Giveaway, an event that has been at the heart of our organization for over a decade. Since 2013, the Great Grant Giveaway has awarded over $1.7M to more than 50 nonprofit organizations.

At Albuquerque Community Foundation, we believe in the power of community and the importance of making a lasting impact. We recognize that our world is evolving, and our community's needs are continually changing. With the update of our mission, vision and values after 42 years, we want to ensure that our grants align with these evolving needs. We believe it is time to reevaluate our approach, refine our strategy, and explore innovative ways to make an even greater difference. 

For those reasons, we have decided to pause on the Great Grant Giveaway as we embark on a transformative journey to reimagine and reshape the mission of the event for the next 10 years and beyond. This pause is not a step backward but rather a thoughtful and deliberate step forward.

During this pause, we will engage with our most valued partners: donors, nonprofit partners, past Great Grant Giveaway recipients, corporate partners, and community members, to gather insights and input that will shape the next iteration of the Great Grant Giveaway. We are committed to making the program more impactful, inclusive, and responsive to the ever-changing landscape of Albuquerque and its surrounding communities.

To gather insight and input to shape the future of the Great Grant Giveaway, we will be hosting five community conversation opportunities scheduled throughout March and April.

*Due to limited space, in-person conversations will be capped at 30 attendees. Lunch will be provided on March 20. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be provided on April 9.
