Germaine Mitchell is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her BS in Pre-Medicine from Texas Christian University, a Nonprofit Management degree from the University of New Orleans and a Corporate Paralegal Studies degree (with honors) from the Professional Career Development Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.  In 2015, Germaine officially made New Mexico her permanent place of residency.

For more than 20 years, she has organized and successfully implemented comprehensive fundraising programs and community initiatives for local and national organizations ranging from health to human services, faith-based to adult education and environmental to at-risk children and family services.

Germaine has been an active Rotarian for 18 years, an active member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals for 20 years and an active member of the Partnerships for Philanthropic Planning for 14 years. In the State of New Mexico, Germaine currently serves as a Volunteer Board Member with the New Mexico Humanities Council, Taos Education and Career Center and Taos Alive.

In her spare time, Germaine enjoys preparing Louisiana cuisine, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
